Estonia...

Elder Boyce arrived in Riga, Estonia on July 8th. We are so glad he made it safe and sound!! We were able to talk to him on the phone when he was at the airport which was so fun:) He spoke Estonian to all of us and we were so amazed at how well he has picked up on the language! He had so many great experiences in the MTC. The worst was that he got SWINE FLU!!!! Ya, we were pretty much freaking out!! He lost ten pounds and was quarantined for five full days! What a trooper he his! He was so sad to leave the MTC but so excited to finally arrive in Estonia. He arrived July 9th and has been assigned to served in the town of Tartu. His companion is Elder Roberts who is from Bountiful, Utah! He loves Elder Roberts because he is a great cook and is a pro at speaking Estonian! He says that the country is beautiful and he loves the people:) I will post some pics from the MTC as soon as I get them all scanned. We love you Spen and are so proud of our missionary!!

He's Off!!!

Ok...so I am going to be a good sister and try to update this blog monthly. We went to the MTC yesterday to say goodbye to Spen. It was for sure bitter sweet! We were so proud of him and we could see the excitement as he entered! We hated to say goodbye! It was so hard! He will be so amazing and we know he will be a leader and will do fabulous things in Estonia! Good Luck buddy, we will miss you! I will post some pics later:-)

April 12th, 2009

Today was the absolute best day Ive ever had! They weather was perfect for an Easter Sunday. I loved today. I gave my talk and I was not nervous. Okay I got nervous when I first saw the congregation staring back at me, but after that I was fine. I feel like my talk went extremely well. I didn't fumble and I didn't rush which I was really worried about! Plus I packed the house! haha. That was way awesome! It was so good to see all of you that came. I got to see some old friends from Junior High which was so fun, I saw people from UTA, friends from High School, and so much family! The best part was that people came up and told me their favorite part of my talk, and everyone had something different to say; Which was exactly what I wanted to happen. I wanted my talk to reach everyone in a different way! I am so grateful for everyone that has showed me support and who has helped me make this decision. I am so excited to learn the language of Estonia and go teach the people of the Baltic. Thank you everyone!

Goodbye UTA!!!

So today was my last day at UTA. It was really strange taking my last trips to Ogden and Salt Lake City. I was so excited to get a write up in the FrontRunner newsletter and for getting a farewell card signed by everybody! I really am going to miss working here. I made so many friends and I had a blast. But now I am excited to move on and get this mission rolling! Thanks to everyone that made my year working here amazing!

Mission Call

So I have been really late doing this blog. Actually my sister is supposed to be doing it for me but I'll let her take the reigns when I leave. You all should harass her if she is slacking. For now I just have a couple photos of me getting my mission call! It was the coolest experience ever. Getting called to The Baltic was way more than I could ever imagine. I am so excited to learn Estonian and I can't wait to leave!!! April 22nd Baby here we come!!
